James Brown

My cricket started properly at secondary school at the age of 11 with my first experiences of hard ball cricket. I played for my school year and the first team at school, however the strength and seriousness of English Comprehensive school cricket is nothing in comparison to the reports I have had here about New Zealand School cricket.

I played all my cricket up until this past year for North Runcton CC in Norfolk, having recently moved to Fakenham CC in the East Anglian Premier League. This is obviously my first and only year with LPWCC, one which I am enjoying without any notable achievements so far, something that I hope will change.

My first senior game was against Sydenham in the One Day competition at the start of the year, one which we won comfortably with west coast dominance. I batted briefly at the end hitting one six and did not receive a chance while wicket keeping. All in all a satisfactory debut.

In terms of qualifications, I hold a degree in Sport Science from Durham University at 2:1 grade, something which I am hoping will help to secure me a decent job in the not so distant future upon my return to the UK.
