Andrew Duncan

I started playing Milo Kiwi cricket at age 5 in Westport and continued playing through the age groups for Buller teams until I was 15. I then moved to St Andrews College for my final two years of secondary school.

I joined LPWCC at the conclusion of school and played my first game for the 2nds. During my innings, I was clearly stumped down the leg side first ball but thanks largely to Bruce Cameron at square leg I managed to survive the call and go on to score a good 0 not out which got me elevated to the 1sts team.

Since joining LPW my leg spinning ability has been severely under-coached and has seen me lose all confidence in this aspect…

Outside of cricket I have completed a sport coaching degree at Canterbury University and am now plying this trade as a cricket development officer in Westport.

I must say I have thoroughly enjoyed my time so far at LPW and have built up many lasting memories, I only hope there are many more to come.
