Look forward to drinking you all under the table on the wheel. Especially you

Have just been watching TV news on 16th Dec & there was a small piece about your 125th celebrations & a Presidents' game at the Park.

I was taken back to several occasions, the times when my father-in-law, Erny Chapple was playing Presidents & the years when my husband Murray played & 25 yrs ago when we were both at the 100th celebrations & just wondering how many old friends are still about.

Long time still no hair,

Trust you are all well as xmas approaches as rapidly as one of my bouncers.
It's funny being in England at xmas, and not there playing along side you approaching 50 wickets and leading the player of the year points! On that note to my fans.......Mush, no doubt the batsman have improved 200% since I left, they get to bat for more than an over now! James Heaney......I'm taking no shit from a man who falls down a hill and ends up with a fence in his ass trying UNSUCCESSFULLY to pull chicks! As Macca said "Behave you silly Pom".

To every one else have a merry xmas. Play straight
this summer but don't be afraid to crack one through
the covers!

Hi Michelle - thanks for your message, you make a fair point, but I am
liimited to what I am provided with. The junior section is in desperate need of volunteers and helpers (you might be aware Karen Verbeek, our current Jnr Convenor is resigning at Xmas), and I believe Karen has asked parents, coaches etc for information to put on the site but has had little response, a similar response to when she asked parents for assistance in running the Jnr Section.

I will however discuss this with the new convener or committee (assuming one can be found, we discussed the possibility on Monday of severely reducing the number of jnr teams if help is not forthcoming from parents). TheSenior Committee is run by volunteers and we never have any difficulty in filling these positions, but there seems some reluctance from those involved inthe Junior Section of the Club.

I assume you are aware Draws and Results can be found on the Canterbury Junior Cricket Association (CJCA) site - www.cjca.org.nz

Thanks for your interest -Nathan

I was disappointed that there is very little info on the younger teams and all the focus of your wed site is on the men’s and woman’s teams. In particular
the draws, results and team details. Have you forgotten the junior members i.e. 18 to 5 year olds in your club?

As a previous member and club captain of the LPCC in the early 70s, I was attending the 125th Jubilee, and picked up your club newsletter(Creaseline) and was impressed with the presentation, also your Website.

Congratulations, and best wishes for the current season.

Cheers Miles Jackson.

Hi Guys long time no hair.

Now that the season has started it is timely that I remind you all that the key to success is bowling plenty of overs, in the channel, swinging the ball away, unless your bowling the other one. Batsmen play in the "V" take the ones and give the 1st hr to the bowler (2 hrs if I'm bowling).

It's now a batters game, as I'm not there to get you out. Take care and watch out for my next instalment.
