The club continued to exist however having occasional commitee meetings and managing the funds obtained with the sale of the clubrooms on the corner of Wilson Rd and Stevens St. In 2009 Lancaster Park Woolston Cricket Club took back the name Lancaster Park Cricket Club and operate as this entity once again. However the playing name of the club will still be known as LPWCC (Lancaster Park Woolston Cricket Club). In November 2006 LPCC celebrated its 125th Anniversary with a series of events over Show Weekend. During the weekend three teams were named, the greatest male players throughout the 125 years, the greatest female players during the same period, and the '25 Years Team', made up of the best players from the last 25 years. |

In addition to further celebrate the occasion a fixture was played on the ground known to many as Lancaster Park (now of course AMI Stadium), the former home ground of the Lancaster Park Cricket Club. A LPWCC President's side took on an LPCC XI in a match enjoyed by all and one which featured on the TV One news and in The Press the following day. |

The Lancaster Park Cricket Club founded in 1981 ceased to exist as a playing club as a result of its merger with the Cricket Section of the Woolston Workingmen's Club in 1998.
